Once a week, Teen Open Door provides a specialist leisure experience for young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities aged 11 – 18.
The members are transported from their school to the club and have a meal tailored to their specific dietary needs. At the end of the evening they are transported home. A varied programme is offered each term – the young people get involved in activities ranging from arts, crafts and reflexology, to drama, music and games.
The club currently meets at Merstone School 3.30 to 6.30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
